The Highland Breeze B&B is a 4 Star modern-style chalet that is located 1/2 way around the Cabot Trail. Walk the trails, watch the whales, spy on the eagles and look for moose, all while enjoying the views! Then relax in our hot tub and 24ft pool.

Because Pleasant Bay tips the Cape Breton Highland's National Park and is 1/2 way around the Cabot Trail, it is a perfect place to enjoy all that nature has to offer! Use our B&B as your base while you explore the highlands and surrounding communities. Hike the trails, whale watch, look for moose, enjoy the eagle’s soar and walk on the sunset beach -all while you are here! Note that all our guests recieve complimentary passes to the local Whale Interpretive Centre.

Guests meet in the dining room to enjoy a complimentary evening dessert which will usually include cake & home-made ice-cream! They will share their exciting adventures, play games or suggest places that they MUST visit when travelling about! The next morning, look forward to a delicious home-baked full country breakfast that is perfect for all appetites and palettes. We speak English and French but the language of good hospitality is universal.

Highland Breeze has three rooms available: The French Suite (perfect for 3 people) : Queen Suite with an ensuite sitting room which includes a twin murphy bed and an ensuite bathroom with single whirlpool and shower/bath; The Grande Anse (our honeymoon or special occassion suite for 2 people): Queen Jucuzzi Suite (2 person corner) and a full shower ensuite bathroom ; The MacKenzie (Can fit 3 with a cot but better suited for 2): 1 Double with an ensuite bathroom and electric fireplace. Our sea-side village remains a natural haven for exploring Cape Breton Island. We have been enticing visitors to the area since the early 1900's.

Take a walk around our harbour to watch the fisherman at work. Perhaps encounter a moose on the trail or a whale in the bay. Take in the clean salt air, or relax and watch the eagles soar along our rugged coastline.
