"Thanks a lot for the great evening and night we had in your house! It was a real pleasure for us to meet you. The dinner was great and I can tell you we will always remember the biscuits we had for desert with peanut butter and apple jelly. It was absolutely fantastic! Certainly we had this again at the end of a very good breakfast the next day.

And sitting with you, the other guests, Shakespeare and Juliette [the hosts dogs] in the evening in the living room let us feel so familiar! Just great! What a pity that we had to leave just after one night. There was only one thing we missed: the moose walking beside the window while we were having breakfast :-) ! You should train them!"

A night so clear the stars seem less indifferent on their nameless splendor...

A night so still even the comet seem sleepy and the bats that dart through the pines

You can hear the deer's footsteps

Through the tall grass and the thistles bathing in the moonlight and the honeysuckle vines

Now and then a dog barks, or a car passes, and its radio whines

Here and there an odd light twinkling, in the darkness shines...

A night so peaceful, in quiet so blissful the soul sings out loud

Thank so much for the comfort, kindness, and other peace I enjoyed in your lovely home! You made me feel just that - at home! Come visit me in New York!
