For most of my life, I’ve been a wife and mother, and for the past 14 years, I’ve also been a homeschool teacher to my two children. They have been my greatest teachers, and I’m deeply grateful for all the adventures, experiences, and learning we’ve shared along the way. During this time, I was also doing some important work of my own—consciously looking at my shortcomings, learning to recognize how my ego influences me, and deepening my spiritual understanding and practices.
Almost two years ago, I attended a retreat in Scotland that profoundly changed me and opened me to a new way of viewing spirituality. I was introduced to ancient Celtic ceremonies and traditions, as well as various energetic modalities and nature-based practices.
I met my courage and my fierce independence that had been buried beneath the many roles of motherhood I had placed upon myself. I rediscovered my love of adventure and the joy of honoring my own desires and wishes without always having to consider someone else’s needs first.
During those days I explored diverse spiritual practices and stood within an ancient stone circle, where I felt the presence of ancient wisdom and my connection to it. Most importantly, I experienced how lovingly and powerfully the Universe (the Divine) guides, protects and cares for me and everyone. My perception of myself shifted irrevocably; I knew I could never return to the life I had been living.
What began at that retreat has continued to unfold into a deeper journey of exploration, connection, and discovery. I have become increasingly open to new ways of experiencing the Divine and more aware of the spiral nature of life in the energetic and symbolic qualities of the seasons and the moon, and the wisdom that comes from recognizing that we are part of nature rather than separate from it.
As these experiences continued to shape me, a quiet call began to grow stronger. It became a desire to share the growth and healing I had experienced with others, particularly with other women. From that call, Highland Breeze was born. In the summer of 2025, I began offering Moon Mná circles in my home, creating space for women to come together. Today, these circles have expanded online as well, allowing me to connect with women beyond my local community.
My vision for Highland Breeze and the Moon Mná Celtic Women’s Circles is to bring women together in circle to reconnect with the wisdom of our own hearts, our feminine bodies, and the deeper feminine consciousness within us. Together, we rediscover parts of ourselves that may have been forgotten or set aside and renew our connection with the natural world and the cycles that shape our lives.
Through ceremony and connection with nature and the elementals, we create space to experience the Divine Feminine as she reveals herself through the ever-changing stages of our lives: from maidenhood, to motherhood, to crone.
The circles at Highland Breeze are sacred gatherings that welcome all like-hearted women.
Compassion & Kindness – Every individual is welcomed with unconditional love, respect and peace.
Inclusivity & Respect for Diversity – Individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths, and abilities are welcome. Most of our offerings are specifically intended for women and those who identify as female.
Sovereignty – Each person’s own wisdom and agency is recognized, rather than fostering dependence on the facilitator.
Connection to Nature & Spirit – We honor the natural world and the unseen dimensions that inspire these circles and Celtic spirituality. We honor the many peoples who cared for this land including the Mississippian culture and later tribes of the Kickapoo, Menominee, Potowatami, and Illiniwek Confederation.
Confidentiality & Trust – Every gathering is designed to protect privacy and create a safe environment for sharing and healing.
Thank you for the Journey to your Womb Moon Mná circle. It was an amazing experience. I am still vibrating at a different level and there is more clarity than I have had in a long time!
